This design draws heavily from illumination style art such as can be found in the Book of Kells, along with some Celtic knots and hand lettering. It is inspired by the Tossers song "Maidrín Rua / Tell Me Ma" off of their early compilation album, "Communication and Conviction: The Last Seven Years". The phrase "an maidrín rua", when translated from Irish, means "little red fox". ​
